Introduction
of a dedicated space for young children and parents/carers
From
January 2024 there will be a dedicated space for use by very young children and
their parents/carers during weekend masses which will enable children to be
occupied in a quiet, but positive manner during mass. There
will be toys, books, puzzles, etc., at the back of church in an identified area
for your children (or grandchildren) to be able to use, with specific seating
for yourselves to remain with them.
As
always, there is a risk assessment to follow which you will be given a copy of
for your information and to reassure you all safety risks and measures have
been considered.
As
part of the risk mitigations, we do need to ensure that we have identified
adults who will act as volunteers to ensure the quiet corner is set up before
Saturday night / Sunday morning masses and that it is cleared after Sunday
morning mass. Clearing away will include the checking and cleaning of all toys
to ensure they remain safe for use. We require as many adults as possible who
will be utilising the area to volunteer to take part in a rota to over see
this. If
you are able to assist with the volunteer rota please could you contact Rachel Shiel
via the parish admin email address (link below) or speak to Rachel or Fr
Patrick when at church.

We try Hard:
To be a warm friendly and inclusive Church of individuals, all with a
common purpose, growing in our spiritual lives in the service of God's
will.
To be faithful in worship as a Church Family and aspire to be more
dynamic and outgoing.
To move forward through fellowship, training, teaching and the
development of pastoral care.
To bring Christ's reconciliation, blessings and message to every part
of our community by the witness of our daily lives and the warmth of
our support for others, especially those who are suffering, lonely or
lost.
